We worked directly with the Marketing Director at TAMU for over 2 years designing and producing all 200+ projects the University needed in that time. When the Marketing Director first arrived at his position, there was really no reliable creative in place so he called Hogan Design needing design help immediately and a lot of it. We jumped at the chance and went to work almost non-stop for the next two years. Projects included a complete re-branding of the University's identity - new logo, new signage, all brochures for all departments, annual reports, billboards, magazine and newspaper ads, newsletter, alumni magazine PRIDE redesign to name a few. Direct Mail Brochure
Here is an example of one of the many direct mail brochures we designed for Texas A&M-Commerce. This one is for the Science Department. We have extensive experience with printed materials and dealing with printers. We prefer to be on site for press checks, if possible, to ward off pre-press issues for the client. This is an area overlooked by many clients who prefer to work directly with their printers. Fortunately, TAMU was (usually) not one of these. Click here to download the PDF.
Shinoda is a company that manufactures anti-marking blankets for large commercial printers. When they came to us they were a start-up company needing marketing materials from scratch. They had a logo to work with (Green Frog), but wanted it updated and refined, plus they wanted a couple of nice brochures to leave with their prospective clients who are high-end commercial printers. First we updated their "Green Frog" logo - adding a printer specific graphic. Then we produced their first 4-page brochure. They needed 3D & 2D illustrations and copy writing which we did all in house. Normally we hire outside illustrators and copywriters for this duty, but budget constraints limited our options so we were able to keep these in house to save money for our client. Later we designed a second matching brochure to compliment the first. Click here to download the PDF.
The Boeing Company
Boeing Space and Communications Group needed a promotional brochure to showcase their impressive achievements to prospective customers both foreign and domestic. Working closely with Aero Graphics, a local marketing firm, we designed and produced this 116 page journal highlighting all eleven divisions in that group including Expendable Launch Systems, Human Space Flight & Exploration, Integrated Defense Systems, Phantom Works and others. This journal was seen by the President, Joint Chiefs and other government entities as well as foreign dignitaries. Later we designed individual brochures for all the divisions based on the "journal". Initial printing for the journal was 30,000. They later requested another 30,000 copies. Click here to download a full PDF.
"All Systems Go" Magazine
We designed and produced the first four issues of Boeing's corporate magazine "ALL SYSTEMS GO." This magazine was designed to keep employees and others engaged and informed about current issues at Boeing. Typical size was 32 pages. Click here to download the PDF.
Maevn Surgical Scrubs
Maevn manufactures several lines of fashion surgical scrub suites primarily for the hospital market. They needed a sophisticated and professional new print fashion catalog for their sales team to present to their prospective customers - hospitals and medical clinic buyers. Hogan Design was selected to design and produce this 60 page catalog which included all their current lines.
We proposed an innovative way to show the various colors of each line. Instead of the usual swatch boxes done by virtually all their competition (and themselves until now), we shot each line, each top and bottom scrub color hanging on hangers just like they would be viewed in a closet. This would allow the buyer to see how the product would look and the colors compared to each other in real life. This proved very effective and was used throughout the catalog.
